Fair Warning

Originally active from 1983 to 1987, Fair Warning was a cornerstone of the first wave of Montreal Hardcore (MTLHC). Known for a sound that was loud, heavy and unapologetically raw, the band cemented their legacy with the 1985 classic You Are the Scene.
After a decades-long hiatus, the band returned with a lineup that defies the odds.Original drummer Clank, after going blind, and having a kidney transplant, now plays second bass.
The current "offensive" features the raw power of vocalist Sly, fueled by the heavy riffs of Mark (Dr. D), the explosive battery of Stephane (El Fuego), and the dual-bass wreckage of Johnny Robusto and Clank.
“Years later, Fair Warning’s influence remains—reaching as far as Tokyo’s hardcore scene—where the band Everybody’s Enemy covered “You Are the Scene," citing its message of unity and social awareness as timeless."
Fair Warning is back for the pure adrenaline and the bond of lifelong friendship, proving that while the years have passed, the spirit of Montreal Hardcore never dies—it just gets louder.
